debussycat is your one stop guide to the Sydney classical music scene.
From the editor (Sabina Chitty):
I started debussycat Sydney classical music guide in March 2011 with the aim of providing an online classical music community and easy to read event information in one convenient online space. I also aim to cater to a new generation of listeners, presenting classical music as accessible, fun, and connected.
I love music. And I completely adore classical music. Having grown up surrounded by it, it really is a way of life.
If you’ve never been a classical music fan, I hope my blog will help you to discover it. In particular, my popular classical 100 posts are a great starting point.
If you have any questions about classical music or opportunities in Sydney, please do not hesitate to get in touch. You can email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and follow me on twitter.
Finally, when I’m not listening to classical music or attending a concert, I am probably busy reading up on the law as I work as a solicitor in Sydney. For all the classical music loving lawyers out there, I have a special interest in construction law and am always keen to get in touch with my legal brethren who share this passion.
Debussycat is a play on words, think ‘The Pussy Cat’. Claude Debussy was a famous French impressionist composer and one of my personal favourites. I first heard this adorable pun from my professorial father who has quite a way with words (Naren Chitty).
